Adopting two kittens is better than one.

Cats are social animals that need companionship in order to reach their full potential. If you are thinking about adopting a cat and don't have any resident cats already, consider adopting two!

These two get to spend their lives as a pair!

Here are a few reasons to keep littermates together:

  1. Kittens have endless energy (especially at 1am when you are trying to sleep) and having a playmate helps them channel their energy into play instead of bad behaviors.

  2. Kitties support each other as they develop into cats. They are learning all kinds of new cat behaviors and having another cat to be around helps them develop appropriate socioemotional skills.

  3. They will have fewer destructive or bad behaviors. Cats develop bad behaviors like scratching or chewing when they are bored. If you work during the day or have to leave your cats for the night, they will get bored and having another cat around will help them entertain themselves.

  4. Two cats is easier than one! While this may seem counterintuitive, its true! A single cat, especially a young cat, needs a lot of attention and active play time. If you don't dedicate that time, you might be getting all of your shoelaces snipped in half by a bored kitty's sharp little chompers.

  5. THEY ARE SUPER CUTE! If you have ever wanted a pair of cats that snuggle, this is how it happens. Littermates bond and form a lifelong friendship.
